Hi, I’m Danny Franco, a recent graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and specialized training in footwear design from Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. 

My interest in art and design began as a kid, growing up around my older cousins, who expressed themselves through graffiti, breakdancing, and skateboarding. Being around these creative subcultures shaped my appreciation for how art, fashion, and design reflect identity and culture. 

In high school, I began sketching clothing and footwear inspired by hip-hop and skateboarding, with the goal of starting my own streetwear brand. My interest in footwear design grew after watching a Sneakerheadz scene featuring Jeff Staple designing the Pigeon Dunk in Adobe Illustrator. Seeing how technical design came together inspired me to pursue design beyond sketching. Although I initially considered studying apparel design, I chose industrial design as a foundation to help me pursue a career in footwear. 

Today, I strive to create innovative, culturally inspired footwear guided by my motto: “Design for Distinction, Craft for Culture.” I want to create footwear that stands out from what’s already out there while staying true to the culture and communities that inspire it.
